Champy's Famous Fried Chicken

Wow I was referred to this place and I will definitely return. The service is top notch and friendly. Brandy and Veronica were awesome. Good was fresh, hit and tasty. Thanks for a great lunch.

Came down after getting some giftcards as a gift, probably wouldn't have otherwise. I'm very glad we got those giftcards!! The food was amazing. Wife and I split a portion of dark and white meat chicken, friend okra, and hushpuppies. She claimed the chicken was the best chicken she had eaten in a long time. We will definitely be going back!

15 of us stopped in on our way to an event for work. We stpped because the listing said southern style cooking. They were able to accommodate us all as a group. GREAT service. FANTASTIC food. We have never seen such huge chicken strips. We were presented with one of the best appetizers we have ever had because of some surprise shared history. It was a combo of sausage, cheese, pickles and peppers. We were amazed at the great prices. We even had leftovers.

2/24 Update: I still love Champy's. We come at least once a month. The food and service has been constantly good for years now. The food is always hot. The beer prices are good. The servers are always friendly. I have nothing bad to say about Champy's. I love Champy's. I've never had a bad meal here and I've been a lot. They have some of the best chicken tenders in town. All the sides are great. Fries are always done right and delicious. The on the bone fried chicken is always great as well. Prices are great too. Nice selection of craft beer. I do wish they would rotate the kegs more but that's just because I love trying new beer. I love supporting this small business. Update: 4/18/21 We went for the brunch and the chicken and waffles were really good. The potatoes were very bland though. One thing that bothered me is there was no physical brunch menu. Even though our waitress explained what they served for brunch well, I didn't know what it cost and there is always a certain kind of rush feeling when you can't read exactly what you are getting. I think Champy's could really benefit from a physical brunch and beer menus. I've also had this issue when sitting in the dining room and wanting a beer and while the wait staff has a beer menu, it usually doesn't have everything on it. I'm not changing my 5 star review because I love Champy's and I will continue to come frequently because the quality and good service is always there.

Champy's is a fun and unique place to eat and the food is excellent. The only entree is ... you guessed it ... fried chicken (except for one fried catfish that I saw on the menu). But that chicken is oh, so good and their sides are divine. The building and decor are set up to look like an old metal barn with distressed/reclaimed wood. It is fun and cozy. If you like fried chicken, then definitely try Champy's! We have been twice and it was excellent both times. If you have time, choose to dine in (for the fun atmosphere). Enjoy!

This place has some awesome chicken and the fried green tomatoes, omg they were so good. And you get a lot of them, 10 big slices in our basket. Icy was a great server, always checking in and sweet as can be.

The chicken was delicious, perfectly seasoned, the coleslaw was very delicious and the mashed potatoes were the same. The service was the best 10/10. Our girl was very friendly.

This is the best fried chicken spot, and I don’t say that lightly! I consider myself a fried chicken connoisseur, and this place truly nailed it. The perfect balance of crispiness, seasoning, and it doesn’t feel heavy at all when you’re done. Absolute perfection!
